  • Spatula

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • ½ cup cooked bacon crumbled
  • 1 small onion diced
  • 1 tbsp butter

Quesadilla Assembly

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
  • ½ cup pickles chopped (optional)
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 2 tbsp butter for frying

Maple Drizzle

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp butter melted

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Cheeseburger Filling

  • 1️⃣ In a large skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter over medium heat. Add the diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  • 2️⃣ Add the ground beef, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
  • 3️⃣ Cook until browned (about 5-7 minutes), then stir in the Worcestershire sauce and maple syrup for that rich, smoky-sweet flavor.
  • 4️⃣ Add the crumbled bacon and stir well. Remove from heat and set aside.

Step 2: Assemble the Quesadillas

  • 1️⃣ In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, mustard, and ketchup to create a creamy sauce.
  • 2️⃣ Lay out a flour tortilla and spread a thin layer of the sauce.
  • 3️⃣ Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly across one half of the tortilla.
  • 4️⃣ Add a generous scoop of the cheeseburger filling, followed by a few chopped pickles (if using).
  • 5️⃣ Top with another layer of cheese, then fold the tortilla in half to create a half-moon shape.

Step 3: Cook Until Crispy & Golden

  • 1️⃣ Heat 1 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • 2️⃣ Place the assembled quesadilla in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, pressing down slightly with a spatula, until golden brown and crispy.
  • 3️⃣ Repeat with the remaining quesadillas, adding more butter as needed.

Step 4: Drizzle with Maple Butter & Serve

  • 1️⃣ In a small bowl, mix melted butter and maple syrup.
  • 2️⃣ Drizzle the warm quesadillas with the maple butter for an extra layer of flavor.
  • 3️⃣ Slice into wedges and serve immediately with extra sauce for dipping.

Notes

For the best flavor, use real maple syrup and freshly shredded cheese. Don’t overstuff the quesadilla to avoid spillage while cooking.
