Ingredients
  

  • 3 large overripe bananas mashed
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Set aside.
  • Mash the bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  • Add melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Whisk until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
  • If using walnuts or chocolate chips, fold them into the batter at this stage.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and spread it evenly. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Let the banana bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
